Color coordinate your microfiber towels for ultimate organization.

One of the major improvements introduced by the microfiber towel revolution, is that the towels are available in so many colors. This allows you to organize your shop or garage in a way that wasn't possible before. If you're going to make the switch to microfiber, be sure to buy your towels and a variety of colors. This will allow you to specify the color to each function. For example you could specify that yellow towels are to only be used to clean wheels. Red towels are to only be used to clean interiors. And green towels are only to be used to polish.

Each towel will take on its own purpose. You don't want to cross contaminate your towels. For example you certainly don't want to use a rag that has been used to shampoo sandy carpets to wax your customers paint. Also, it's absolutely important that window towels be separated from your general towels. These towels must be pristine to produce the clarity of windows that you and your customers expect.

So from the beginning, be sure to have a color strategy that you will follow with great diligence so that all of your towels are used for their specific purpose and there is no cross contamination or unnecessary damage to any towel other than for its intended use.
